"The most meaningful part of the training was our training others in the skills. I have never done anything like that before.  It gave me the confidence to step out of my comfort zone. These skills should be taught to everyone!"

8 to Great Institute
Training for Returning Trainers

To Certified 8 to Great Trainers considering returning for more training,

Greetings, Gratefuls!

Thank you for your dedication to learning more about living and training the 8 to Great program! Please read over all the guidelines below.

1) In order to return for a training, complete this special Retuning Trainers Registration Form, and send it in with your non-refundable food deposit ($40). As some weekends fill up quickly, we suggest you do it as soon as possible. The remainder of the food payment will be due the first day of the training.

2) You are responsible for your own lodging. For an Omaha Friday - Sunday training, you will receive dinner the first day and lunch the 2nd and 3rd days as part of your training. Other trainings vary.

3) Since you will not receive another training manual (approximately 90-pages), you'll want to bring yours with you. We also recommend you bring a copy of MK's book, 8 to Great, for reference.

4) If you are intending to become a Master Trainer and would like to train a High-Way on the first day, contact MK in advance. She will have you practice with her over the phone. If she believes you are ready, you may get "checked off" that High-Way by training all the attendees on it. On a rare occasion, trainers may get two High-Ways "checked off."

Master Trainer status is achieved when a trainer has been checked off in all 10 of the components of the training:

  • Power Pyramid
  • Magic Trick
  • High-Ways 1-8

5) There is no charge for returning trainers other than food reimbursement. What is expected, however, is your assistance with the training. New trainers will look to you for guidance and modeling of the High-Ways. When you see a need, simply help MK or the Lead trainer with it - from "we're out of toilet paper," to refreshing the coffee, to cleaning up at the end of each day, to offering to make copies if we run short. We are grateful for the spirit of service and gratitude to the organization in all our Master Trainers.

6) If you are affiliated with other organizations, from Optimists, to a networking group, to a church or a business, 8 to Great events are not the time to promote it. Failure to follow this guideline can result in being taken out of the Master Trainer track.

7) Finally, be sure to complete an evaluation form at the end of the training. We love hearing your ideas for how we can improve on the training weekends! If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to call the office at 800.419.0444 or MK's cell at 402.212.3033.

Again, thank you for your trust and dedication. You are the future of 8 to Great and we are extremely grateful for you!
