(Note from the composer:  The phrase this song is built around, from 2 Peter 1:19, made me catch my breath years ago when I heard it in a reading at a Sunday service: “Until the morning star rises in your heart.”  One of the most beautiful and poetic lines in Scriptures certainly deserved to be put to music!
