Greetings,
Key-Mailers! If
your holidays are
overly hectic or you're
frightened by all the
stories on the state of the
eeeeek-onomy, I have some
good news for you...
First, one of the best
things about adversity is
that it gets us asking!
You remember why you signed
up for Key-Mails, because
you loved being reminded
that EVERY time you ask, you
receive. EVERY time you
knock, the door is unlocked,
but YOU have to open it.
How? By changing your
thoughts. That'll turn your
life on a dime.
You know they're saying that
the last time our country
faced economic challenges of
this caliber was in the
1920's. Back then they sang,
"Buddy can you
spare a dime?"
Nearly 100 years later we
are whistling a different
tune as we understand that
life can turn on a dime
when we choose thoughts that
feel good!
As my song, "Fill Your Mind"
reminds us from Phil 4:4 -
the way to the greatest
peace is to choose thoughts
of the greatest joy!
For example, in
2002 entrepeneur Maria
Pinto had an employee
embezzle tens of
thousands of dollars
from her designer
clothing business. That
blow, coupled with
a slowing economy, led
to her filing for
bankruptcy. In 2003 she
suffered major health
challenges. Yet in 2004
she found new hope, and
with new
investors restarted her
business. In 2006 she
became Michelle
Obama's
favorite designer and
looks to be named the
first lady's white House
couturier!
Turn on a dime.
I had just received
notice that we were not
accepted for a major
national education
conference, but I listed my
gratitudes and felt better
immediately. The next day I
listened to a coaching
client
share her dream of being a
regular on national TV. When
I mentioned that
Oprah was on my
Dream Board, she stopped
me. "I think I can help
you," she began. Then she
told me she was being flown
to Los Angeles the following
week to tape the Dr.
Phil Show.
Four days later she was
handing my 8 to
Great curriculum
PR packet to Dr. Phil's
HARPO PRODUCTIONS team. We
just got word that either
Jan. 7 or 8th
Dr. Phil will play my
original song, "From the
Heart" for his millions of
viewers. Meanwhile, their
team is looking over our
curriculum and considering
it for future shows!
Turn on a dime.
A year ago she came to me
for coaching, confused
and frustrated at her lack
of dating prospects. Within
six months she had taken my
weekend training and met a
wonderful love. She recently
wrote:
Everyone needs to hear
the message of 8 to
Great. Especially
people like my old self that
needed something to turn my
life around but couldn't
find it. I see this
curriculum as useful for
people of all ages, not just
teens. My heart aches for
people like my past self
that wanted the life skills
but could not find them
outside of pyschologist
offices... Keep up the great
work and thank you for
everything!

Our New "Every Time
I See a Dime" Campaign
So I've been having fun
the past few weeks
giving away dimes. It
could make you the hit
of your next holiday
get-together! The next
time someone starts to
talk about lack or
discomfort or "this
recession we're in,"
just pull out two
dimes.
Hold up a dime and twist
it in front of them with
your other hand.
"What are you doing?"
they'll ask.
"Reminding you," you'll
reply.
"Of what?"
"That life can turn on a
dime."
Then you get to tell
them that many real
estate agents are having
their best year ever! (I
just met three of them
at a talk.) Ask them for
a time in their life
when all of sudden
things turned around for
the better. Then, give
them two dimes.
"What are these for?"
they usually ask.
"One is for you to keep.
It's part of an 'Every
Time I See a Dime'
campaign to restore hope
and remind us that life
can turn on a dime."
"And the other dime?"
"For you to give away to
someone who needs this
reminder."
You may also joke with
them that due to
inflation,
the new "Lucky Penny" is
now a Dime!
Imagine how much fun
you'll have!
Finally, watch for dimes to
show up in your
life. When they do, remember
that gratitudes are a DIME A
DOZEN and list 12 of yours:
- my next deep breath
- my freedom to choose what
I think, what I
dream and what I talk about
- my remembering
that life can turn "on a
dime," etc.
I am very grateful to be
able to give gifts of hope
to the world through
inspirational ideas like
this one and 8
to Great
trainings. Thank you for
your help in spreading the
message. We look forward to
hearing about all your
Every Time I See a
Dime turn-arounds
in 2009!
Holiday Blissings,
