After winning
his 7th Gold
Medal at the
2008 Olympics in
Beijing,
Michael Phelps
was asked to
"sum it all up"
by sports
commentator Bob
Costas. Surely
while swimming
his tens of
thousands of
laps over the
past four years,
Phelps had given
his next words
much
consideration. He
began, "The
biggest thing
I've been
thankful for
is ..."
What or
who was
Michael most
grateful
for?

Daily
Dreamings
It is said that we
dream about 4-6 tmes every
night while we
sleep. My challenge
to you Dear Readers,
is to do at least
that much dreaming
each day
while you're awake!
"But
isn't dreaming
running from
reality?"
I've been asked.
What is
reality
but the result
of thoughts you
dreamt yesterday
and the day
before? We are
constantly
creating our
realities by
what we
focus upon.
A gangster in a
cartoon once
said to his
buddy, "Be
careful where
you point that
thing!" It's
just as
important for us
to choose where
we point or
focus our
thoughts. What
we think about,
we bring
about.
If you are up
for an adventure
of dreaming new
dreams, tomorrow
you could awaken
grateful
for your
comfortable bed
and then
imagine
having a guest
house to lodge
your many
friends and
relatives that
love to come and
visit you.
Later if you get
slowed down in a
bit of traffic,
you could say
thanks
for your car
that works so
well and then
imagine
your "other"
vehicle (which
you save for
special
occasions) that
is not only tons
of fun to drive,
but gets 50
miles ot the
gallon!
Do you see how
freeing
imagineering
your life can
be? (Don't give
me credit for
that fun
word."Imagineering" is
a Walt Disney
original.)
Imagination is
more important
than knowledge.
-
Albert Einstein
I'm not asking
you to go to
great lengths
here. You'll use
your imagination
for better or
worse hundreds
of times today
anyway.
When traffic
slows down
instead of being
grateful for
your car, you
might spend that
five minutes
imagining that
it will make you
half an hour
late and that
the folks
at work will
be perturbed
with your delay.
And - you'll be
right.
You
Can Stop Being
Surprised!
Each weekend I
host a Sunday
Night Dreamers
group.
This month we
are listening to
the #1 best
selling book on
CD:
Money and the
Law of
Attraction.
Last week one
member got a
surprise $742
check, one
received a
surprise
$9900 check and
one started
dating a
gent just like
the one she had
described in her
visualization!
And the little
things are just
as fun! Last
Friday we got a
parking space in
Omaha's popular
Old Market right
in front of the
restaurant where
we had
reservations. I
love the fact
that it doesn't
surprise me
anymore. (My new
best seller
won't surprise
me either.)
Whenever
imagining the
life of your
dreams, be there
in the picture.
Hear the
sounds, see the
sights, feel the
joy, and taste
the
double-chocolate-ice-cream-latte-mocha
breakfast meal.
