How to Stay Loose in Tight Times
"Keep Breathing"
we are reminded by good friends. The
advice is right on. A deep breath
reboots our body's computer, clearing
away old toxins and mental cobwebs. Now
let's take the Deep Breath even deeper!
The "Afundance" Game #1: Breathing in
Abundance
Recently I've been
coaching many people concerned about
their financial well being. As a result
I've created some new "Afundance
Games." The first is simply a thought to
accompany your next deep breath:
"I am
good at letting it in."
"It" can be
whatever you fear you lack - i.e. money,
support, love, energy or time. Just as
there is always more than enough
air, there is always more than enough of
everything. When our breath is shallow,
it is a sign that we are afraid, as
though we believe our supply will run
out.
With each deep
breath today, celebrate abundance in a
fun way. Say, "I am good at letting it
in" while you inhale your fill of
wonderfully clean air. Then, this week
when it's time to pay for something,
think of it as merely "exhaling" and
remember there's always more where that
came from. The effects will amaze and
delight you!
"Afundance" Game
#2:
This is a game for
two or more people and works well during
a coffee break or on a car ride.
Person
#1:
A.
I am a Great Manifester! Look at
what I've manifested recently:
(List 3-4 things you're grateful for
from the past 48 hours such as...)
- Running into an
old friend
- Finding my
favorite jacket
- Getting great
seats for the outdoor concert
B.
And now I'm allowing new
manifestations in my life like:
(List 3-4 things you'd like - in all
shapes and sizes - such as: )
- Surprise money
- An invitation to
someone's home for dinner
- A compliment or
appreciative word
C.
I could manifest those things
(listed above) lots of ways, such as...(List
2-3 ways for each. After each possible
method, the other players repeat: "It
could happen.")
- Selling more
songs on Itunes ("It could happen")
- Getting asked to
test food products I love for pay ("It
could happen")
- Getting a raise
or a bonus ("It could happen")
- Running into an
old friend ("It could happen")
While we teach in
8 to Great not
be concerned with HOW when you
"Get the Picture" of your next dream,
I've found that brainstorming fun ways
your dreams can manifest is almost as
much fun as imagining the dreams!
You'll love how
good these Afundance Games feel. And
remember: When you feel
good, good things happen!

Kathleen's True-Love Story: A Drive to
Remember
Kathleen recently
completed our 8 to Great
Training Institute and now
teaches a process she has been
living all her life...
"My college
boyfriend and I had broken up a few
months before graduation. I was
devastated for weeks, but then
decided to take charge of my
attitude and gratitude. There were
so many things to be grateful for, I
focused on those and then started
dreaming about finding my True
Love."
She was amazed
that in just a few days, love songs were
no longer painful. Instead, she heard
the songs as though "he" had requested
them for her. It wasn't long before "he"
had a name. "I was watching A
Walk to Remember and was
completely taken by the actor Shane
West. I used High-Way 1 (even though I
hadn't heard of 8 to Great
yet) and started talking about him to my
friends as though we were a couple! It
was silly and fun."
Right after
graduation a classmate said she was
looking for someone to drive with her
across country for her move West.
Kathleen thought it sounded fun
and agreed to go.
"We were both in
'95' (great) moods as we were driving
through Iowa. It was a picture perfect
summer's day - blue skies, just the
right amount of white fluffy
clouds, green as far as the eye could
see... And then I saw it - a
lovely white church steeple peeking out
from between the rolling hills. I
squealed."
"Look at that.
It's perfect! I could live here. I could
meet someone wonderful and fall in love
and be deliriously happy!"
High on hills
and hope, Kathleen and her friend
stopped at the next town to check into a
motel for the night. But the gentleman
behind the counter didn't want to let
Kathleen out of his sight. You guessed
it, they fell in love. They married.
They are happy as can be and... the man
she met while driving West is named
Shane.
It doesn't
take a big thing to change your
life, it takes a deep thing.
