| How to Create Your Dream Support Team |
| |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Greetings, Gratefuls! Face it. Sometimes this going-for-your-dreams-stuff can be challenging. Especially when the dream hasn't shown up physically yet and there are only a few people you can talk to about it (without being teased). That's where creating a Dream Support Team comes in. I recently began a group I call "Saturday Dreamers." I limited the size to 8 people and called our hour-long gatherings every other week "dreamings." I asked that everyone commit to the time and let me know in advance if they couldn't make it. Millions of busy Rotary members meet every week because they are dedicated to each other and their mission. It can be done. Our only pre-requisite was that members had to have viewed "The Secret" and be willing to do five minutes of HOMEWORK each day. At least five days a week, they agreed to write down 3 gratitudes and do 3 minutes of Dreaming (in past tense). In other words, they were to write down a piece of a dream as though it had already happened! Everyone I've coached in this process has exciting new success stories to share. Are YOU ready for your dreams to come true? If you are, then forward this article to 7 friends (the forward buttom is at the bottom of every Key-Mail) inviting them to join you for an hour every other week. Your agenda could be something like: Of course, always remember that you have an invisible Dream Support who is always aligning miracles on your behalf. Our job is to be clear what we want and believe! Curious about what a Daily Dreaming looks like? See the article below. Then, write me with your success stories. I love having so many to share with the student and adult groups I speak to each week.. Also this issue we're announcing our new Education Website. Check it out and let us know what you think! 'Til next month, stay grateful for your Blissings and Blessings, Friends!
Everyone of us knows people whose dreams have come true. We watch as they talk about it for months or even years and then one day it just shows up! Well, now there's a new 3-minute a day ritual that can bring your dreams into daylight faster, and it's so fun you won't want to miss a day! Daily Dreamings are 3-minute journal entries that I coach my clients to do each evening. It's simple. Right before you go to bed, get out your journal and pretend that one of your dreams has already arrived. Then write about how great it feels and all the wonderful results it has wrought! As soon as I started this process my night dreams even became more peaceful! When you awaken, write your 3 Gratitudes and read over your Dreaming Journal entry from the night before. You may also want to have a Dreaming Partner who calls you each morning. I have one, and she not only holds me accountable, but hearing her dreams is a double dose of delightful! Still not sure what a Daily Dreaming would look like? Here is one I received in an email this week. Juli truly captures the art of moving from a thought to a belief by adding details that make it sense-ational! Juli's Daily Dreaming The judges were astonished that someone with my skills has not been discovered before. They plan to use my story to promote their show in the future: "A recent first-time exhibition artist received the "Best of Show" award. We are proud to share Juli-Ann Gasper's talents with the world and hope other quilt artists are encouraged by her. Interviews are being scheduled with the national media. Watch for her next month on The Today Show. Her work can be seen on the National Quilt Festival website and at her business site, www.artquilts.biz. She accepts commissions to create one-of-a-kind designs for clients. Her work ranges in price from $100 to $6,000." How much fun will your Dreamings be? Start tonight and watch your dreams take on a life of their own! Remember, the brain can't tell the difference between a thought and a reality, so write us about the fun you're having and the miracles you're manifesting!
We are thrilled to announce the addition of our new Education Website: www.8toGREAT.com. Now educators from around the world can see just what 8 to GREAT is all about and how it is helping 6-12th graders face their problems and follow their dreams! At 8 to GREAT we believe the following: In order to be effective, education today must be multi-dimensional. If a student walks out of our education system with long division and a large vocabulary, but without courage, hope or gratitude for life, we have failed. Not because we have not taught these qualities, but because they are natural to the human spirit, and therefore, somewhere along the way, we have crushed them. I just returned from Michigan where I got to meet 300 young adults whose schools will teach them our 8 High-Ways each week in homeroom/advisory. I am so grateful for courageous administrators who offer students education of the mind and heart. So, in line with our Dream Theme, here is this month's classroom activity, from our High-Way Handbook 1, "Get the Picture." Activity #19: The Dream Inner- view Supplies Needed: Note cards for all participants 1) (Write the following on the board before beginning: ) 2) (Read aloud slowly or paraphrase: ) First I will be the TV interviewer and ask two questions to my "guest" about their dream, pretending it has already come true, such as: Then we’ll have 2-3 questions from the audience - that’s all of you - to complete the interview. The process looks like: (If the school has video capabilities, select one student from each class to be interviewed on TV during the lunch period about their dream!) ***To purchase any of the six High-Ways Handbooks for Parents and Teachers, go to www.8togreat.com or call our office at (800) 419-0444.
