| Key-Mail #179 - "TurnAround Time!" |
| |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Greetings, Gratefuls! I titled this Key-Mail TurnAround Time because lately I have seen so many people shift their lives dramatically in a very short time. I recently had the joy of coaching a gentleman who was focusing on the problems in his life - even in his counseling sessions. His physical and emotional relief when he learned the FGH formula was profound to witness. This issue I'll be sharing a letter from that coaching client, as well as a new exercise from one of our 8 High-Ways Handbooks for Schools and news about upcoming retreats and Weekend Training dates. Did you see the cast of "The Secret" on Larry King live last week? I have now shown the movie to over a thousand people, and the results continue to amaze me! So my invitation for you this month is to Take Notice! The world is on fire with desire to learn more about the power of choosing a focus that feels good. Thank you for being on the leading edge of this revolution! Let us know how we can support you in your TurnAround! Blissings and Blessings, MK
The Wake-Up Call It often takes a loss or near loss to till our soil so that seeds of hope and gratitude can be planted. Recently, I coached a gentleman who had it all until he stopped practicing the steps that had gotten him to his dream life. The good news? He simply had to return to his positive practices to reclaim his power! I met with MK on the invitation of a friend. It was like being told it was time to move out of my troubled life. That first coaching session we watched a video on the power of focus, visualization (Get the Picture) and Gratitude. I began to see how my being out of a job and troubled marriage were the result of my negative thinking. I realized that my wife had seen this all along and had been encouraging me to be grateful for what we had and focus on how I wanted things to be. I just hadn't listened. Another wake-up was that the more MK shared, the more I realized that I used to live my life according to the laws she talked about, such as What you think about, you bring about. When I first started out in business, Id tell myself what I wanted. I'd even cut out pictures of how I wanted my life to be. Id daydream all the time about how wonderful my life was going to turn out, and I not only got my dreams, but most of them came easily. I made over $100,000 by the time I was forty, married a wonderful woman and got my BMW! The trouble was that as I began to get all the things I wished for, I forgot to keep being grateful and visualizing. I think I felt like I'd "moved past" that phase and it was somehow "childish" or "beneath me" to continue dreaming when I had so much. As my focus started to change, I attracted a job that felt awful and when I was let go, I got into tons of fear. With my negative thoughts came depression, weight gain and marriage problems. Even in therapy we'd focus on the problems, which of course made things worse. During our coaching session, I felt a huge weight being lifted off my shoulders. I am so grateful for MKs reminder of the power of gratitude to feel better instantly, and for learning the positive attitude formula: FGH - Forgive the past, be Grateful for the present and have Hope for the future. I've shared that formula with half a dozen friends in the past month! I'm also grateful to the friend that suggested I open my mind to MK's coaching, and for remembering what I knew as a child - that life can be, and will be wonderful when I just ask and believe! Note from MK: During our last session, he received an offer for his dream job! More proof that when we open up to the abundance of the universe within, we will no longer go without!!!
High-Way 2 - #18 Terris Triumph Supplies Needed: none (Have a student or teacher read the story aloud.) 1) Read aloud the story below of Terri Bowersock, CEO of Terris Consign and Design, who, as a high school student, was voted Least Likely to Succeed by her classmates. Dear Teens, When I graduated, I had trouble getting jobs because of my bad spelling on application forms. I was even fired once from a waitress job for spelling coffee kofi. Then, when I turned 21, my life turned around. I was tired of people telling me what I wasnt good at, and decided I wanted to run my own business. I racked my brain trying to think of what I could do as a business. Within a week I got the idea to start a consignment furniture store. With just my moms old living room furniture, my childhood bedroom set and $2000 from my grandmother (for the first months rent and deposit on a warehouse) I was open for business. I knew I needed a business plan but I definitely didnt want to write a 50-page paper! Instead, I got out some colored pencils and divided a sheet of paper into four sections. In one section I drew the store layout and where the furniture would go. In the next I drew a truck with my name on the side, and how trucks would move the furniture from peoples homes to my store. In the next I drew a graph of how many millions in sales we'd have when, and in the final quadrant, I drew a map of the US and put dots where I wanted my stores to be. My dreams came true. Today there are over a dozen Terris Consign and Designs coast to coast. One year, one of my goals was to own a yacht, so I drew it on my life map. For some reason, however, I couldnt get myself to go and buy one. Around then my company was looking at starting store in southern California. At a meeting not long after, my CEO suggested that instead of getting an apartment, we get - you guessed it - a yacht. I knew his idea was not a coincidence and now have that dream, too. Are you ready? Your dreams are waiting for you. Make your own map of your dreams and let it guide you. I look forward to reading your success stories in years to come! 2) As a class, discuss: How did you feel as you read Terris story? Terri became better not bitter. Can you relate to Terris story? If so, how? What did Terri have to remember to keep her going through the hard times? Look up Terri on the website at www.terrisinc.com. What else did you learn about her? Are you willing to spend an hour to make a "life map" collage of your dreams? Why or why not? * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To purchase any of the 8 High-Ways Handbooks for Parents and Teachers, go to www.mkmueller.co m or call our office at (402) 553-0555.
