| Key-Mail #172 - Spring Cleaning from the Inside Out! |

Greetings, Gratefuls! Last week, as I prepared for our fundraising concert and letter writing contest, The Gratitude Gathering, I needed to figure out a way to get the 750 folks back into the theater after intermission. I recalled chimes being used at the symphony but had no idea where to find some or even what they were called! The next evening I went to watch a friend's stand up comedy performance and a 3-chimed box passed within three feet of me. I asked to borrow it after the performance and it worked perfectly. It has now been returned to its owner who said I could borrow it next year as well! How can we ever doubt that what we think about we bring about? I have coached half a dozen wonderfully gifted and intelligent individuals this month who were allowing their thoughts to be consumed in worry. Are you draining your energy away the same way? I never recommend not worrying, because then you would just worry about worrying! Instead, I suggest focusing on thoughts that feel good! If you're not sure where to find such creatures, check into www.sjvomaha.org and read over some of the finalist letters from our Gratitude Gathering letter writing contest. Or just get back to writing your three gratitudes every morning with NO repeats! Finally, we have some SPECIAL EVENTS coming up I want to invite you to: - Monday, April 10th is the first week of my 3-week telecourse on Living the Art of Positive Attitude. $29.00 Go to www.theteleconnection.com to register! I hope you're continuing to dream big and celebrate the small manifestations along the way! Write to me and share your story as Deb Long did below. I love to share stories of owning our God-given power to heal and to change the world! P.S. Educators and Parents, check out the special on my Junior High Video Series below. It's getting raves from students and teachers alike!!!
Anger energy. In my program we call it "Angergy." It falls under my 4th Principle: Feel ALL Your Feelings. I've seen it do a world of good lately. It has made my business partners and I more focused, helped my son set boundaries and helped a 45-year-old man stay sober. Another name for it is "enough is enough" energy. It helps us remember that when something isn't working or isn't feeling good, we need to do something else! Oh, but we hate to get angry. We hate admitting that things aren't perfect. We get concerned that if we bring up something that's uncomfortable to those around us everyone will get even more uncomfortable. But think back to when you or someone close to you finally spoke up about something that wasn't appropriate or honest or balanced. Didn't everyone involved breathe a sigh of relief including those called on the carpet? The truth, spoken in love, sets us free. So this spring (reminder: some of you will be setting your clocks ahead this weekend!) I am encouraging you to speak your truth. Spring clean those old frustrations that you've been stuffing under your skin. Air them out and let them go. It certainly doesn't need to sound like yelling. Find a time when the person you need to talk with is sitting down. Express yourself in a loving but firm way. Let them know what isn't working for you without apologizing. Remind yourself and them that life is just too short not to be enjoyed!
One of my angergy issues this week is going to be the papers in my office. They simply will not go away "a little at a time." I must set aside two hours to do nothing else. (Boy am I glad Zach owes me some work hours!) My angergy will come in handy as I slam dunk the majority of them into the recycle bin! Then I'll have enough time and energy left to watch George Mason make more March Madness history. (Don't you love watching the little guys make it big?) Let me send you onto the life court this month with some glorious words by Marianne Williamson: "When we're tired, its because we are tired of pretending we are guilty when were innocent, that were plain when we are beautiful, and that were weak when we know were strong." Blissings, O Energized Ones!

Dear Mary Kay, After grieving for 18 monhts and not being able to find anyone who was able to bring joy and happiness back into their lives after such loss, I took drastic measures. I sold my house, gave away all my possessions, bought an RV and traveled across Canada and the US in hopes of finding joy. I talked to hundreds and hundreds of bereaved people and came home with a calling. B.E.Y.O.N.D. - Believing & Embracing Your Own New Direction - is in response to what I heard others say they needed. The services available are great, just not enough. Our vision is to have peer support groups in our area 7 days a week by the end of 2006. The gifts I have recieved because I lost my son have been nothing short of miraculous. Chris, my special angel, has become my spirit guide and has brought me into my truth...often kicking and screaming! Today I know who I am. I have written a Grieivng Mothers Journal (as yet unpublished) and am producing a CD of my original songs. My life has been blessed BEYOND belief. Thank you for your support. I am filled with gratitude.
